Upon arriving at the hotel, I was immediately struck by its charming exterior and picturesque surroundings. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making me feel instantly at ease. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay. The room itself exceeded my expectations, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The highlight of my stay was the delicious breakfast, which had a wide variety of options to choose from. I had a fantastic weekend away with my husband and would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The friendliness of the staff, especially Philip in the dining room. He made you feel as though you really mattered.
The room above ours was being refurbised and it would have been nice to have been warned about the noise in advance. We were told it would cease at 6 O'clock but they were still moving furniture around until 10 O'clock. Then they were back in the morning at 7.20.

The quietness of the hotel and the location, the facilities. Also the friendliness of the staff Food was good also.
There was nothing I didn't like. There were one or two things I would like to see altered to enhance the hotel and its running.I Felt the menu could have been altered more. The lighting on the landings was very dim, for anyone with poor eye sight.

looks impresive when you drive up to hotel , good location for touring
the hotel needs a good manager, service in the restaraunt ,slow. service in the bar poor, one night I went down for a drink at 22.15, and the bar and reception was closed. could not find anyone arround. second night, the staff took over the bar arie, seemed as if thay were halping themselves to drinks, the person behind bar was more interested with them than the paying guests. On checkout thay could not even get the bill right.

There is ample parking available on site, ensuring a hassle-free stay.
The smoke from people smoking outside can be a bit bothersome.

The facilities were not good at all. The shower dripped out, so couldn't have a shower. The toilet ran for about half an hour to refill (very noisy). There were cob webs in the corners of the room!! For the price i payed i could have stayed in a luxury room some where else. Also the reception area on arrival is awful to look at. First impressions were not good at all.

The hotel had a lot of charactor and furnished in keeping with its age. It felt warm and welcoming and the staff were fabulous. The food adn drinks were excellent value and everything was home cooked , well presented and cooked and served with love. We were upgraded when we arrived and the jacuzzi bath was a great thing to have especially when you have been walking around all day. We chose the Hotel from the Internet afor its looks and Location and price. We could not fault Our deicision in any way and would have loved to stay longer. We will most certainly reurn at another time.
The only criticism we could find would be that if you were disabled you would have a problem with thestaurs.
